Thank you for inquiring about membership here at Palm Beach Baptist Church. There are many Biblical reasons and benefits for being a formal member of a local church.



Qualifications for Membership



  1. ​The members of this church shall hold the following foundational belief: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from that time forward he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. Matt 1:18, Matt 27:15-26, Acts 2:22-32, Ephesians 4:7-10, 1 Peter 3:18-20, 1 Peter 4:6, Luke 22:69, 1 Peter 3:22.
  2. The members of this church shall be Christians who have been baptized in water by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matt 28:19-20, Rom 6: 3 - 12.
  3. The members of this church have the resolved to follow the Church Covenant and Statement of Faith.
  4. The members of this church have completed the new members' class.


Upon the fulfillment of the previous statements, an individual shall make their request to become a member to the pastors. All persons who meet the membership requirements shall be presented before the church body at any regular service for their reception into the fellowship requiring a majority vote of qualified members. (Qualified members being those individuals who regularly attend the services of Palm Beach Baptist Church and conduct themselves in compliance with Article III, Section 2 of the bylaws and any amendments thereto as determined by the elders and deacons).



Membership Transfer



It is highly recommended that you notify your previous church upon deciding to pursue membership at Palm Beach Baptist Church, as good standing with your previous fellowship may be a factor in becoming a member of this local assembly.




CHURCHES MAY SEND A LETTER OR CERTIFICATE OF TRANSFER TO:

The letter or certificate should say:

  1. You are a member in good standing; and
  2. They are releasing you into our spiritual care.
